Embroidered armrests for Gaëtan Delbarre, upholsterer.
I created these two armrests starting from damaged antique patterns.
These are two hand-made Chrysanthemum armrests embroidered with pearlized cotton on linen fabric.
After tracing these two patterns, I imagined the design of the missing elements, trying to find the original colours. I had to keep to a design linked to the period of the armchair, while working with contemporary materials.
